The Namibian born frees Virtual Reality platform
Duration: January - December 2021
This virtual platform was created to inspire young people in Namibia to speak up on contested issues relating to decoloniality and the youth futures. Furthermore, it serves as a safe space where multiple voices on decolonising knowledge and postcolonial memories can be shared without fearing repercussions. We appropriated the design to local cultures and drew inspiration from traditional indigenous architectures and Namibia's fauna and flora.

Postcolonial narratives of the born frees
Date: October 2019
Venue: Independence Memorial Museum in Windhoek Namibia
This interactive exhibition was a design intervention focused on amplifying the voices of young people in Namibia on issues of post-colonialism and decoloniality.
The exhibition was divided into three main sections.
- The present section consisted of an interactive soundscape room - playing the young people’s everyday narratives on colonialism, it also consisted of an area for reflections on how our present influences the future.
- The past section consisted of an alternative past, in which we used augmented reality and a photo booth for the audience to take pictures backgrounded by.
- Future section: consisting of provocative questions on what the futures could be and reflection stations to talk to the youth collaborators
